The British Neuroskeletal Re-alignment Therapy Association

Revolutionizing treatment of back pain

Conditions that can be treated

This treatment treats a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. It may also be integrated with periodic remedial massage/trigger point therapy. Pathologies such as arthritis and osteoporosis etc. can be helped so that the patient has better quality of life. Other conditions and accident trauma can be re-aligned so that often the problem and symptoms disappear. Each case is different and the practitioner will be able to guide you as to your treatment plan.

Since basic trials in the mid 1980’s this treatment is now well established and is supported by PhD research in the Department of Physiology at the University of Adelaide.

Treatments that can be helped include:

· Whiplash Injuries

· Sciatic pain

· Disc problems

· Scoliosis

· Spondyloliesthesis

· Ankylosing Spondylitis

· Cervical Spondylosis

· Kyphosis/Lordosis

· Pain and joint problems due to sports injuries and accident trauma

· General Back Pain

· Arthritis management (regular treatments help quality of life)

· Osteoporosis (regular treatments help quality of life)

· Headaches/Migraines

· We have also worked with spinal cord injuries both in the UK and in Australia with positive effects.

· Stroke Patients and other neurological conditions have also responded positively to treatment, plus it helps associated problems.

Treatment consists of light pressure being applied to certain points in the body and thus we cannot make any condition worse as no forced manipulation takes place.

Most people feel a difference as soon as they get off the treatment couch.

Gentle and controlled pressure is applied to specific nerve points that stimulate tension activity to cause change within and around a stressed muscle. The only tools required are the therapist’s middle fingers. This works on a neurofeedback loop, in the reflex arc.

Through the research done by Carole Preen in the UK, we have found that it does predominantly work through the central nervous system, although it also affects the meridian system and our other etheric systems as well. “Healing” therefore takes place on many levels and although all patients feel incredibly relaxed after, often they also report feeling that “a great weight has been lifted” and can get quite emotional.
